Stage Manager

NBC 6 & Telemundo 51

I had the opportunity to intern for NBCUniversal, eventually being promoted to a full-time stage manager at NBC 6 & Telemundo 51, located in Miami, FL. Of the many national broadcasts covered in my time at the duopoly station, the first Democratic Debate for the 2019-2020 U.S. presidential election was a moment, noteworthy for its in-studio and on-location political reporting. This programming set the tone of the race while featuring both current President and Vice President, Joe Biden & Kamala Harris. Working in both English/Spanish-speaking markets lit my passion for international media which launched my career writing global stories, producing shows and even directing live simulcasts.

DC & WARNER BROS. DISCOVERY
GRAPHIC DESIGNER

In collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery, the parent company to DC Universe, I was priviledged to design an ad within the DC Pride 2023 Edition, published in June. Using my knowledge of graphic design and employing the tools of AI photo rendering, I executed this full page of marketing; inspired by the superhero styles lining the comic book. The promotion plugs community organization, FLUX’, Instagram and features their international board of directors—a team of gifted individuals I get to call my colleagues.

“…My gratitude for DC Comics, Warner Media, and FLUX overflows; as I honestly feel I can now tell my younger self: the superpowers will come, it's just a matter of time.”

ROYAL T — LATV

Writer
Latino Alternative Television

It was an honor to write for the first-ever trans talk show, Royal T. I built scripts for anchors to share not only the current events but their take on them as well, by selecting stories on non-binary news & transgender topics. In addition, I got to associate produce, where I built photo decks for prospective talent and operated prompter while filming. I am a proud contributor to LATV’s work, “growing [the] voice of the Latino experience,” through my intentional verbiage and applied feedback across the entirety of the series.

SOUTHEAST REVIEW

FICTION EDITOR

At this literary journal, I oversaw the submission and selection process, specifically as a fiction editor. Copywriting on social media posts, I garnered skills to generate organic engagement—motivating author’s to submit their works as a means of curating publishable material. In email blasts, customer correspondence, and fundraising outreach, I maintained a cohesive tone of voice for the publication’s overall operations.
